This is the Biology 140 Ecology and Evolution bypass exam:

You may only take the exam once during your time at Middlebury.
The exam will go live at 11am Tues 9/5 and you must finish by 1pm.
You may use a calculator or excel as needed.
Your work on this exam is governed by the College's Honor Code. In this case you may not use any notes, books, or any online sources, and may not consult with your peers.
The minimum score to bypass Biology 140 is 80%.
A successful bypass means that you may take any courses for which Biology 140 is a prerequisite.
A successful bypass does not count as a credit and Biology 140 will not appear on your transcript.
If you anticipate applying for medical school note that medical schools may not accept your bypass exam as sufficient proof of a course in evolution (which is required by an increasing number of medical schools). You will want to consult with the Health Professions Advisor early in your time here to decide whether it make sense to take an additional evolution course (e.g., Biology 395).
If you score greater than 80%, and thus pass the bypass exam, I will email you by the middle of the day tomorrow. If you do not hear from me you did not pass the exam. But you will be able to see your score by coming back to this canvas page.
